DAY TWELVE… Rest Day

We are staying near Shaki, a lovely little holiday eco-resort, although we are the only guests.  We have had the whole of the downstairs to ourselves including the kitchen and extra loos, and a washing machine.  Paradise.

It was a ’30 minute’ walk from our little resort to an Armenian Stonehenge. We left at 10.30am and climbed up and down various hills, through nasty spiny flowers for four hours!

Walking through the meadows… another view of nature
Wonderful find

The stones were spectacular, and some had holes in them, maybe for astrological reasons?? Later went on a little “20 minute” walk to a waterfall which was a lot quicker and cooler too, which was a relief.
