DAY THREE… 48 miles (77 km)
We woke to cold and wet (dew). The sun was up but it was cold. The showers at the nearby trailer park were locked so we had to do without. The path today was very bumpy, made of larger gravel and very wearing on the arms.

My knee began to be very painful. We found a chemist and got a knee support, but getting it involved lengthy measuring and fitting so when I was told the cost (€38) I didn’t feel I could just walk away. Our campsite, was near the château grounds of Nord sur Erde and by a river. The town was totally shut. It was a sunny evening and we went out to try and find some beer, but there was none to be had.
