DAY TEN
Three of us now suffering with the affliction, unable to eat and explaining to our host that we don’t want to have a ₹1,000/- (£10.00) per head buffet meal, instead we just want plain rice and boiled eggs. He does not seem too pleased with this arrangement. Tim does not have the stomach affliction, just a cold, but thankfully this place is extremely comfortable…. An old-style house with an adobe area surrounding it. It is by a beautiful large river and surrounded by wildlife. …. Tiny owlets in the tree above where we are to “eat” tonight.

TIM WRITES… with Alysun, Anna & Suzi all resting, I am left to do some little cores like cleaning the bicycles, oiling chains, washing mud splattered panier bags & general pottering around. Plus, an errand into town on my bicycle, to buy bananas, anti-biotics & dioralyte sachets, plus a samosa & chai lunch for myself…. no one else could face food.
I was able to do some preliminary reconnaissance of the Orchha’s “sites of interest”…. the palaces & many temples. But having discovered that one needs to buy a day ticket to see all the sites on the one ticket, I decided to do the full tour tomorrow, as with Delhi Belly problems our cycle tour was not going to go anywhere soon.
