DAY ELEVEN
A day or two in bed with fever but now I’ve taken some antibiotics, hoping for a quick improvement. Sitting outside in the cool of the morning. The sounds of last night’s wedding receding … more fireworks !!!
The boys are bringing breakfast. This no longer reflects the needs of people, like us, with chronic diarrhoea, rather what the host fancies serving. We are restricted even more in our food possibilities !!!,
TIM WRITES… with Alysun, Anna & Suzi not wanting to venture more that 100 metres away from a toilet & needing as much rest as possible, I have time to myself, my old Indian guts from living here in the 1980’s seemed to have stayed reasonably OK. Being “stuck” in Orchha was fine, due to the abundance of stunning 14th & 15th century forts, palaces & temples.

Orchha has a huge array of temples, palaces, forts, cenotaphs, gardens, deserted ruins, all by the huge Betwa River. A splendid place to wander around with a camera, especially as I was free to hang out by myself without needing to worry about others wanting to move along.

Orchha had a number of pre-wedding shoots going on with photographers loaded with state-of-the-art cameras, lighting & drones & happy couples in their very best clothes. And a large population of vultures…. no link to the pre-nupials.
By the evening, Anna & Suzi were well enough for a brief pre-sunset cycle ride.
