DAY THIRTEEN
Left the little haven at Orchha, not on bicycles, but in a minibus with our bicycles tied onto the roof rack. We are all still feeling rather washed out, literally, by the “traveller’s diarrhoea”. That phrase makes it all sound so doable and benign. It really was not like that at all. I feel that I’ve lost about 10% of my body weight down the toilet in only two days.
We are staying at the MP State Tourism Hotel Payal. We got a discount as I told them I was old! There are some advantages!

Khajuraho seems a quiet place, and most tourists only bother with a small section of it, the UNESCO World Heritage site, leaving some wonderfully preserved temples virtually unvisited. We went to the quiet Eastern group today. A couple of lovely Hindu & Jain temples, covered with sculptures. But, none particularly erotic or am I missing something ???
