DAY TWENTY SEVEN… 41.63 miles (67.0 km)
A difficult night, feeling very nauseous. Woke 5.30am and set off on a cycle ride, mercifully flat, with even a little downhill, however, it was a huge effort to cycle 40 miles. I really did not want to keep going. Tim eventually tells me that he has found a train which will take us to our final destination, and there is availability. This is music to me ears. I so want to say yes. And just not have to cycle anymore. I could rest and lie around. Bliss!! But instead I say, let’s go somewhere to rest for a few days and for me to get my strength back, then see…..

We have passed such kind people who obviously don’t have a lot but are generous with what they have. One man bought Tim a chai, and another offered me his only chair to sit down on to have my breakfast. We have taken to sitting on the walls that demarcate the shops. It is somewhere to sit! Today we sat outside a tobacco shop.

Arrived at Shivrinarayam (a holy town on the Mahanadi River due to it being somewhere that Lord Rama visited) around 12.30 and are resting.
