DAY THIRTY ONE… 42.35 miles (68.2 km)
We’ve made it (43 miles) to Binka, a dusty town with one hotel (adequate, not super clean) but with a busy restaurant thankfully.

Our ride today was through rural Odisha (most of Odisha is rural). Small villages widely separated by field after field of rice. Villagers were, once again, engaged in the labour-intensive work of cutting, threshing and drying the harvest. It is dried on the hard shoulder of the road.

Tim tells me rain is expected tomorrow, and really it did look like rain tonight. But rain, in India…. Now???? It’s all a bit strange.
We go out in search of a cow to feed our left-over breakfast to. There do not seem to be any cows here and the dogs are profoundly disinterested in poha.
