DAY FORTY THREE
Today, we visited a 1st Century (BCE) Jain “monastery” or rather a large set of caves. Alysun duly tested the meditation chambers & stone pillowed beds, all with very low ceilings as the Jain ascetics spent most their time in full lotus sitting poses…. who needs to stand up?

We had one last “commune” with the elegant langurs.

We made a trip, as recommended by our homestay host, to the Kala Bhoomi Odisha Crafts Museum.

The last act of the day, as evening set in & the mosquitos descended, we packed our bicycles up in their pink bags, carefully protected with sheets of cardboard, bubble wrap & pipe lagging (all posted as a parcel to the homestay from Bharatpur). Time to get ready for the long journey home.
