DAY TWELVE… 56.25 miles (90 km)

Tents were very wet from a misty start to the day, but it promises to be 27 degrees, so hot again.

The cycle ride was beautiful; quiet and next to the river through a virtually deserted steep river valley.

Sublime morning mist

Now, we are in Linz, searching for camping gas. This time we hoped to find it in the city centre, but no luck, so far. Tim has gone off in search of it, whilst I watch a man in Lederhosen (why?) strut down the high street.

Riding into Linz, with the Yellow Boys

We camped in a big campsite (€20) in a tent ghetto, mercifully not too crowded.  Not a peaceful night. At midnight a group of drunk and noisy lads showed up, looking for a spot to camp, and acting as if it were the middle of the day.
